My target audience for my magazine is mainly aimed at teenage girls between the ages of 15-18,  who are interested in pop and alternative music as well as those who are keen to find out about the latest celebrity gossips, interviews and information. I have chosen to make this a monthly magazine with a market price of around £2, which is a reasonable price suited for my target audience as they would still be in full-time education and would't want to spend too much on a magazine. My poll confirms that my target audience is willing to pay around the price of £2 for my music magazine. Fashion and perfume advertising brands such as: Asos, Topshop and Dior might want to advertise to my demographic, as they have a similar target audience and fashion is such a big trend now in this image concious society.

I have chosen Jessica, an 18 year old A-level student currently living in London as an example of a stereotypical target audience for my music magazine. Jessica loves to keep up to date with the fashion trend and loves to look stylish and well presentable when she is out and about.  She particularly loves listening to alternative music as well as other music genres such as pop. Her idols include Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey, Adele and Rita Ora. Jessica aspires to be a future solo artist who is already writing her own music. She spends most of her weekends reading magazines and going out with her friends and family. Jessica aims to be featured in well-known music channels such as MTV, 4Music and Viva. However, she would like to start her career through magazine features to get public recognition.
