The music genre of my magazine will be based on pop and alternative music. This is because pop is a very well-known music genre in the music industry, which will target a wide range of age group and from my research, pop and alternative music was my target audiences most favourited genres. By including alternative music in my magazine, I will gain a wider audience. The potential target audience of my magazine will be teenage girls, aged around 15-18 years old. The unique selling point (USP) of my magazine will be mainly exclusives that are not covered by other magazines in the industry and a recognisable and eye-catching typography for my magazine masthead to attract my target audience. My magazine aims to rival existing music magazines such as 'We love Pop', 'Top of the Pops', 'Q' and 'NME' magazines.
